Our vision is to create healthy Bangladesh by psychosocially healthy people. Our mission is to support people realize, protect and continue their mental health. Prevention is the centre of our activities. This is because the most effective way to deal with a crisis is to prevent it from happening in initial stage. . For instance, by providing the accurate information, assistance and support in childhood and adolescence, the chances of developing mental health problems can be abridged for millions of people over a lifetime - with enormous benefits to the people directly affected, along with their families, friends and the communities they live in.

Mental health is largely misunderstood and stigmatized in Bangladesh. National Institute of Mental Health report indicates that there are 14.5 million adults - including these women at the Pabna hospital - with mental disorders in the country. Nearly 20% of children aged 12-17 have a mental illness. The overall prevalence of mental disorders in Bangladesh is between 6.5 to 31% among adults and between 13.4 to 22.9% among children, with psychiatric and psychogenic disorders such as depression, anxiety and neurosis most commonly reported. The prevalence of mental disorders was much higher in overcrowded urban communities than rural ones, and among the poor. Women were vulnerable across all settings. Behavioral disorders were common among socially disadvantaged children, such as those living in urban slums. The evidences suggest that psychiatric disorders among children are also associated with malnutrition, low education of parents and a family history of mental illness.

In Bangladesh, mental health is severely underfunded and under-researched, with just 0.5% of the government health budget being spent on mental health. On the basis of findings of different researches it is found, the lack of knowledge and awareness, superstitious beliefs, social stigma, wrong information, lower social status of women etc are considered as primary reasons of mental health problems. But now it is high time to fight against these serious problems. In this case, better data, awareness and more mental health practitioners are needed to address the unmet needs for mental health care.

We inform and influence the development of evidence-based mental health policy at the national and local government level. In tandem, we provide information to people about the steps they can take to look after their own mental health. We want to empower people to take action when problems are at an early stage. MH4All is established on 10th October 2016 for working with mental health issues. It is online based mental health centered service organization, which is committed to take steps and campaigns in order to create a mentally healthy Bangladesh.
